Progress update – new enemies, added particle fx

Having a great time building this game. Today I added enemies that dive bomb you from above, or from either side, as well as these ugly eye turrets. I’ve got some destructible walls now too, and I added some glitchy blocks in the parallax layers for this room. I also added some cool particle FX on the rockets, lasers, and bullets. I think it looks pretty cool. I heard back from Barnaby today, he’s got additional running animation frames and a crouch frame to implement soon for the player sprite. I can’t wait to see them in action because they look GREAT. This is shaping up to be a pretty neat game. I’m pretty excited to build the next room, it’s going to be a falling-maze. You just keep falling until you choose a portal to go through which could lead you to any number of places that you may or may not be able to return from.
